How to have a productive call
This visit happens by Google Meet or phone — not in the clinic. A few minutes of setup on your side is the difference between a rushed check-in and a conversation that actually moves something forward.
Before we start
- Be somewhere quiet where you can talk openly. A parked car or a spare room beats a gym floor, a store, or a shared office.
- Do not take this call while driving.
- Have a charger nearby and silence notifications you do not need.
- Write down 2–4 things you want out of the time — questions, symptoms, training blocks, decisions you are stuck on. We will use that list.
- Have anything we might look at together within reach: recent lab results, a medication list, your training log, notes from the last visit.
If this is a video call (Google Meet)
- Open the calendar invite a couple of minutes early and click the Meet link. Allow camera and microphone when the browser asks.
- Headphones help. Camera on is better — a lot of useful signal is visual.
- Sit facing a window or lamp, not with a bright window behind you.
- If the link does not open, refresh once. If it still fails, we will call the number on your booking.
If this is a phone call
- We call you at the number on the booking. Keep that line free for a few minutes on either side of the start time.
- Answer even if the caller ID is unfamiliar — clinic lines do not always display as Fitomics.
- Speakerphone in a quiet room is fine; a Bluetooth earpiece in a noisy place is not.
How to use the time
- Let us know what changed and what your concerns are so we can address what is important to you.
- If you're having trouble sticking to the plan, let us know! We need to know what real life is like so we can provide the best coaching for you.
- Ask for clarification if needed.
In-person assessments and exams have a different prep page (fasting, clothing, parking) at fitomics.com/instructions.
